BOGOTÁ. The XXXI edition of the Vuelta del Futuro Ministerio del Deporte, an event organized by the Colombian Cycling Federation in the department of Boyacá, ended on Sunday, December 15.

The final day for men was an individual time trial of 12 kilometers between the municipalities of Duitama and Santa Rosa de Viterbo, where there was an average speed of 37 kilometers per hour.

The winner of the test against the stopwatch was the 17-year-old from Brayan Molano, who repeated stage victory, after the one achieved on Friday, during the second fraction of the race.

The time of the native of Tibasosa (Boyacá) in the 12 kilometers was 19 minutes and five seconds, surpassing the Estiben Correa (Bogotá FUN Esteban Chaves) corridor by 27 seconds and Paulo Cesar Pantoja (Bogotá FUN Esteban Chaves) by 42 ″.

Likewise, the newly graduated high school buoy from Guadalajara, obtained the general title of this Vuelta del Futuro with an accumulated of four hours, 30 minutes and 42 seconds. Héctor Molina took second place at 1’04 ”and third place went to Santiago Garzón at 1’38”.

It is worth remembering that with this race the 2019 national calendar of the Colombian Cycling Federation ended.

Elizabeth Castaño won the time trial and is the new champion of the Vuelta del Futuro 2019

The 21st edition of the Return of the Future Ministry of Sports, an event organized by the Colombian Cycling Federation in the department of Boyacá, ended on Sunday with great success.

The final day for the ladies was an individual time trial of 12 kilometers between the municipalities of Duitama and Santa Rosa de Viterbo, where there was an average speed of 31 kilometers per hour.

The winner of the test against the stopwatch was the Antioqueña Elizabeth Castaño, who repeated stage victory, after the one achieved on Saturday in the municipality of Socha.

The time of Castaño in the 12 kilometers was 22 minutes and 58 seconds, surpassing the runner Angy Orjuela (Bogotá Krieger) by eight seconds and by 21 ″ to Zulay Camacho (League of Cundinamarca).

Likewise, the 18-year-old from Antioquia won the general title of this Vuelta del Futuro with an accumulated five hours, 21 minutes and 48 seconds. Zulay Camacho took second place at 45 ″ and third place went to Angy Orjuela at 2’12 ”.

It should be noted that Elizabeth Castaño, who was runner-up general of the race in 2018 and champion of the sprints and points, will run next season with the Avinal GW El Carmen team from Antioquia, after important results, where he was a podium in the junior national route Junior runner-up.
