BRAZIL AND ARGENTINA CONQUER FIRST MEDALS IN THE PAN AMERICAN MASTER

MARINGÁ, BRAZIL. Master cyclists from Brazil and Argentina opened the podium of the Pan American Championship that is held in Maringá, state of Paraná.

On this second date the individual speed qualifying phases and the individual persecution stages were disputed.

Between the first day, the Brazilian Franklin de Almeida (3min50s570) stood out, who won the gold against Andre Pulini (3min51s341) for less than a second of advantage. Leandro Reichemback (4min06s207) conquered bronze with the third medal for Brazil.

In the women’s classification, Argentina’s Maria Ofélia took over the gold medal with a time of 2min57s. Brazil’s Anelise Rocha finished in second place with 3min05, while Argentina’s Natalia Celeste scored 3min06 and conquered bronze. (cbc.esp.br)
