Dear friends of the continental cycling family:
With this 257 edition of the Copaci Bulletin, my duties as editor of this digital publication, the website of the Pan American Cycling Confederation and, also, my responsibility as president of the COPAC Pan American Press Commission cease.
In these 13 years I have had the unequivocal task of putting on your phone or computer just over 4,000 newsletters, which were designed to disseminate the most important competitions and events of COPACI and the International Cycling Union (UCI).
Like all human works, there has been a lack of backwardness and dissatisfaction of doers and recipients. However, I infer the punctuality and disclosures during this long period, whose best retribution has been for me the collective recognition of you.
I thank José Manuel Peláez, who has given me the opportunity to add to my professional curriculum this distinction of having been part of the American cycling family until today.
My thanks also to all those who during these thirteen years became fervent collaborators of the Copaci Bulletin, including managers and presidents of national federations.
Know that, although I assumed this moment for quite some time, I cannot hide the affliction by saying goodbye to this beloved family. Of course, I can assure you, wherever you are and in any circumstance, you will always have your permanent servant in me.
I wish you a happy and prosperous year 2020.
A hug to all.
José Luis Basulto.
